What evidence would be sufficient in showing support for a parent as a qualifying relative?

My husband sends money down to his mother every month but how can I show to prove he supports her? What evidence would be sufficient in showing support for a parent as a qualifying relative?
You have to provide over half the amount for her total support. Count her rent/mortage, utilities, food, medical, etc

As for proof, does he pay the utility bills himself? Can you show proof of transfers from his account to hers? Does he pay for her house? Does he pay for the property taxes? If he's just giving her cash, that'd be dififcult to prove, but my guess is you could get a statement notarized, perhaps. What evidence would be sufficient in showing support for a parent as a qualifying relative?
You can claim your parent as dependent (qualifying relative) if

1. You provided more than half of their support, and

2. the parent did not earn more than $3,500 in 2008.

It is not required that the parent live with you.
