What is the best way to approach a grand parent about writing a will?

She is in her late 70s and I've been told neither she or my father have wills. How do I suggest they do it? Is there a kit (other than Suze Ormans Will and Trust Kit for $40) that I could give them? Just leave it at their house and hope they find it?What is the best way to approach a grand parent about writing a will?
I would start out by bringing up an advanced directive. You can pick up a free copy at any hospital (it would be best to go to the medical facility that she has dr's apts at). That will start her talking about her medical wishes. In a way, that sends an initial message that you care about her health and her wishes in regards to what happens if she goes into a como, needs life support after a stroke, etc and not just concerned about her money. After that is complete, she might bring up the topic of a will. It is best to have a lawyer complete this part so that it is legally binding. It is important to stress to her that you are concerned that her property, life insurance, etc would go to the state unless she specifies this information in a will. What is the best way to approach a grand parent about writing a will?
