How can a parent prevent a new teacher from picking on her 8 year old child ?

My 8 year old has moved to a new class and I feel that the teacher is unduly picking on him ?How can a parent prevent a new teacher from picking on her 8 year old child ?
Meet with the teacher and ask if there have been any problems in class. If the teacher is of no help and there clearly is a problem, go over his/her head and got to the administration for a meeting. How can a parent prevent a new teacher from picking on her 8 year old child ?
You need to speak to the teacher.
talk to the teacher

give more info in your question

last - ask if you can have someone sit in the class to see if the teacher actually picks on the child

have them record what she does

ask a friend but NOT you the teacher probably won't do anything if you are present
Ask for a conference and speak to them about the situation. Good luck to you.
Tlk 2 the principal about it.
You might want to give us a little more detail on this one. It's hard to say unless we actually know what's going on.
sit in on the class and see what he is doing before she begins to ';pick'; on him. You need to see both the teacher and child in action
2 things.

1. observe the class when your son is not aware that you are going to be there. Always informative for a parent.

2. talk to the teacher.
go to the teacher and talk to her/him and say if it happens again im going to kill you :P
make an appointment with the principal to discuss what your child has been telling you about the teacher
