How does a parent handle aggressive imaginary friends with a almost 5 year old boy?

Our son has a very aggressive imaginary friend. I do not know if the name would be of help, but he has a pointy fingers and a pointy butt. If you need more info let me know?How does a parent handle aggressive imaginary friends with a almost 5 year old boy?
How do you mean ';aggressive';. Is it just that he looks aggressive with his pointy fingers, or that you son seems to fight with him.





If it's just that he looks aggressive then I don't' see any problem at all. Your child is obviously very creative.





If it's that your son seems to fight with him then that's a normal thing too. Imaginary enemies are a good coping mechanism for thrashing out disputes. Children with imaginary enemies are shown to be better at managing their anger and understand individual differences.

i saw this show on the discovery channel called a haunting and the child had an imaginary friend who was actually a demon so they brought in a priest to get rid of it. So.....
talk to your son...suggest a better imaginary friend :S
